The Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies is seeking to appoint a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant in Quantum Technologies to assist in the development and execution of projects in technologies allied to quantum photonics.  You will initially work directly with the director of the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies, Prof Sergei Turitsyn, to develop a number of project proposals in the field of quantum photonics and with the Optical Communications Group with Prof Andrew Ellis to explore the compatibility of quantum key distribution with a range of existing and emerging optical communication systems. scholarship daily news in www.rightman.ir

You will be responsible for performing high quality research on a number of existing projects, and for writing new research grant proposals. You will also be involved in collaboration with industrial project partners operating to short timescales whilst also supporting the development of new project proposals across the whole of AIPT, but particularly within the communications area and opportunities to assist in the coordination of future successful proposals will be made available. scholarship daily news in www.rightman.ir

You should have a first class honours degree in electronic engineering, applied physics or related subject, a PhD in a field allied to photonic communications or quantum optics and substantial industrial experience in appropriate industry sectors.
