فراخوان جایزه ابن‌ سینا یونسکو (۲۰۱۵)

فراخوان جایزه ابن‌ سینا یونسکو (۲۰۱۵) – به ابتکار جمهوری اسلامی ایران و با همکاری یونسکو ، جایزه ابن سینا برای اخلاق در علم از سال ۲۰۰۲ در یونسکو پایه گذاری شد. این جایزه هر دو سال یکبار به افراد و گروه هایی که تحقیقات و فعالیت های شاخص و برجسته ای در زمینه اخلاق علمی و فناوری انجام داده اند، اعطا می شود. سال ۲۰۱۵ چهارمین دوره برگزاری این جایزه است.

داوطلبان باید فرم ضمیمه را با توجه به پیوست های آن تکمیل کنند. معرفی‌ نامه‌ واجدان شرایط نیز باید تا قبل از ۲ فوریه ۲۰۱۵ ( ۱۳بهمن ماه ۹۳ ) ، از طریق کمیسیون ملی یونسکو – ایران به دبیرخانه جایزه ارسال شود.

لازم است یادآوری شود که جایزه ابن سینا برای اخلاق در علم شامل یک مدال طلا مزین به تصویر ابن سینا ، ده هزار دلار و یک هفته سفر علمی به ایران است که طی آن برنده جایزه در جلسه های بحث و سخنرانی در دانشگاه ها و نهاد های تحقیقاتی کشور و ملاقات های علمی با استادان و متخصصان ایرانی شرکت می کند.

این جایزه با هدف به رسمیت شناختن فعالیت های افراد یا گروه ها در زمینه اخلاق در علم ایجاد شده است و تفکر اخلاقی را در مورد مسائل پیش آمده به واسطه پیشرفت های حاصل شده در علم و فن آوری ترویج می کند؛ هدفی که از جمله اولویت های یونسکو نیز به شمار می رود.

Avicenna Prize for Ethics in Science

The Prize owes its name to the renowned 11th-century physician and philosopher of Persian origin known in Europe as Avicenna (980-1038). A healer and a humanist, Avicenna developed an exemplary holistic approach that captures the essence of ethics in science and has thus come to serve as a source of inspiration for the promotion of this concern, which is of central importance to UNESCO

The Prize consists of a gold medal of Avicenna along with a certificate, the sum of $10,000, and a one-week academic visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is to include the delivery of speeches in the relevant academic gatherings, organized for this purpose by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Call for Candidates – 2015 Edition

UNESCO invites Members States in consultation with their National Commissions, and non-governmental organizations in official partnership with UNESCO and active in a field covered by the Prize to propose candidates for the UNESCO Avicenna Prize for Ethics in Science 2015

Deadline for the submission of candidates: 2 February 2015 at midnight

Who is eligible

The purpose of the Prize is to reward the activities of individuals and groups in the field of ethics in science. The Prize encourages ethical reflection on questions raised by scientific and technological advances – a goal that coincides with UNESCO’s priorities

Nominations for the Prize should be submitted, no later than 2 February 2015, by filling out the nomination form in either English or French, by post (the original form) and, if possible, by e-mail (advanced copy
