Post-doctoral position in Astronomy and Cosmology

School of Astronomy, IPM

School of Astronomy at the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM) invites applicants for postdoctoral position in the following disciplines in astronomy and cosmology.

– Early Universe Cosmology

– Observational Galactic and extra-galactic Astronomy

– Computational Astrophysics

– Instrumentation

The positions are funded for 2 years with a possibility of an extension for 1 year, upon satisfactory performance. Enquirers can be sent to [email protected] for theoretical cosmology or [email protected] (observational astronomy / cosmology / computational astrophysics / instrumentation).

To apply, send a letter stating qualifications and background, a CV including the list of publications, a statement of research interests and at least 2 confidential professional references, of which one should be obtained from the thesis supervisor.
