UWE Bristol International scholarships : Postgraduate

UWE Bristol offers a range of scholarships for international postgraduate students.

Please note: In order to apply for any UWE Bristol scholarships, you must have received an offer to study at UWE Bristol. Remember to apply for the course early to ensure your scholarship application can be considered.

Academic excellence scholarship

We consider applications when they are received so we strongly recommend applying as early as possible. The award value is automatically deducted from tuition fees.

Country-specific scholarship

This scholarship is available to undergraduate and postgraduate full-time, first year students from the specific countries listed below. The award value is automatically deducted from tuition fees.

How to apply

You will automatically be assessed for the country specific scholarship at the point of application for your programme at UWE Bristol by your domicile country as indicated in your application. Contact[email protected] if you have any queries.

Chancellor’s Scholarship

Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office  or other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Following graduation, recipients will also be expected to be an active member of the UWE Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students.

How to apply

September 2016 start applications can be made via a task in the Welcome website by 31 March 2016.January 2017 start applications task and deadline to be advised. Contact [email protected] if you have any queries.

Millennium Development Scholarship

Applicants will need to provide information in their application detailing how the scholarship will help them to attain the Millennium Development goals within their country.

The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Bristol MBA International Scholarship

MSc International Management Scholarship

Following graduation, recipients will also be expected to be an active member of the UWE Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students.

How to apply

Application for the MSc International Management programme can be made online by selecting the ‘Apply for this course’ option on the web page. To be considered for the Scholarship applicants will need to cover the following points in their personal statement which should accompany the programme application:

What would you bring to the MSc International Management programme / your student cohort?

How do you intend to use the MSc International Management after graduation?

Students who have deferred their application from academic year 2015/2016 to 2016/2017 will need to write another personal statement if they would like to be considered for the Scholarship and upload it via their UWE welcome portal.

They should clearly write and save the document as “Personal Statement for MSc International Management Scholarship” before uploading via their welcome portal.

For September 2016 start the submission deadline is 30 April 2016. Your application will be assessed by the programme leader and candidates will be informed of the final decision by 30 May 2016.

For January 2017 start the submission deadline is 31 October 2016.
